so when will we know if we were cast?

    • Bob irvin says:

As was mentioned at auditions casting will be done by Wednesday and will be posted at the Arts Area Office. Phone is 484-8433. You will be notified by phone if you are cast. Thanks, Bob

  • Taylor Murphy says:

will we be singing songs from the movie? or original songs?

    • Bob irvin says:

…The musical director will announce that at auditions. Know that you’ll probably sing the oompa-loompa song

  • Taylor Murphy says:

There are no scripts available at ARC (we’ve checked twice). Does anyone have a script they would be willing to email me? Krysta.Murphy@SanJuan.edu… Or do children need scripts for auditions? We are willing to drive to Old Fair Oaks, ARC, etc. to get access to a script (if needed). Thanks Bob for answering all of Taylor’s questions, she is really excited:)
    Krysta

P.S. Can’t wait to see you all again!

  • judi says:

My stepson is very intetested in auditioning, however we just stummbled apon the information and he was unable to get a script to rehearse. Is it possible to use a piece from one of his high school performances for his audition piece?

    • Bob irvin says:

No prep is necessary. Be ready to learn a bit of a song, a dance combination and read from the script. You will have time at auditions to study a scene before reading.

  • Taylor Murphy says:

will all of the children auditioning be cast as oompa loompas? or will they get the chance to be the main 5 children?

    • Bob irvin says:

Children and adults will be read for the main 5 kids as well as the parents. They will also be considered for oompa-loompas.

  • Heather Botnen says:

Are the auditions at The Veteran’s Memorial Amphitheatre

7991 California Avenue in Fair Oaks Village?

  • Cindy says:

How often/long are rehearsals? Are costumes provided or do they need to be purchased?

    • Bob irvin says:

Final rehearsal schedule will be ready when casting is done. Usually, though: Monday thru Friday 7p to 10p (later during tech week). Some Saturdays between 10a and 3p. These are staggered music rehearsals which last between 45 mins to 11/2 hrs. These will be scheduled once we have cast. Costumes are provided. All who are cast must register for ARC Theatre Arts Class: fee is paid by the Festival.
Grade school and high school participants must get a clearance from their principle or counselor to perform.

  • Lauryn Kendall says:

I would like to know is there certain registration you go through to audition because I’m new

    • Bob irvin says:

No. Just show up. If you are cast you must register for a class, but the fee is paid by the festival. See you at auditions. Thanks, Bob Irvin

  • Katie Jordan says:

  • Taylor Murphy says:

Are there children’s roles in this play?

  • Savannah Cooks says:
