Remodeling Update

Amphitheater Remodel Project Update and Proposed Projects for 2005

As spring approaches, the Amphitheatre remodel project, under the direction of Project Manager, Tony Sestito, will gear up to include:

1. Continue finish work on restroom building and snack bar-control room complex. (Install mirrors, paint doors, repaint some floors, etc.)

2. Complete Donor Wall and installation of name plaques for different levels of donations.

3. Paint rear wrought iron fence.

4. Landscape rear area around tree.

5. Continue several unfinished electrical projects put aside due to the untimely death of our volunteer electrician, Lud Larson.

6. Secure final inspection for the building permits for Phase II & IV.

7. New electrical service to Spider Room and Arts & Craft Building.

8. Secure funding for the Overhead light bridge, have it built and installed.

9. Begin design and architectural drawings for the Main Stage addition.

10. Secure funding for and installation of drinking fountain.

11. Secure funding for and installation of handicap lift to control room.

12. Paint auxiliary storage shed.

13. Blacktop rear gate entry.

14. Install concrete walkway to storage units (Spider Room).

15. Continue Matching Fund Drive to purchase needed light and sound equipment.

Equipment Fund Drive & Donor Wall

We are grateful to those who participated in our fund drive for light and sound equipment. This equipment is essential to be able to increase our performing season. Many are repeat donors, and have added to previous gifts, thus being elevated to a higher gift giving category. To date we have received over $12,000 for this purpose. This drive is still continuing; we welcome your support. Remember, a gift of $250 is the minimum for inclusion on the Donor Wall in the theatre entry. Please keep your donations coming - we aren't done yet!

To make all of this a reality, we need your help. The State of California and the County of Sacramento have already contributed $300,000 of the projected $500,000 it will take to complete the project. We are now asking you, the theatre goer, to make a special gift to help raise the remaining $200,000.
